This beautiful stamp and sentiment are from a digital stamp designed by Graciellie Designs.
I created the background using ink smooshing technique. What is that? You take a piece of plastic wrap and dab your inks on to it. Spray with water to activate the ink and smoosh it on your paper. Then dry the paper with your heat tool. Then repeat the process until you are happy with the results. I used Canson XL watercolor paper and Catherine Pooler inks in Green Tea and Lemongrass.
I then coloured parts of the image with Copic makers. Added shimmer to the flowers and glued it on a piece of pattern paper. I like using ink smooshing to colour in an image and background. It’s a cool effect for creating a watercolour look. Its great for creating interest and texture for a one layer card.
